HPEF T-SHIRTS

Our HPEF T-SHIRTS are HERE! They have the HPEF logo on the front, and the “Once a President, Always a President” design on the back (created by Sara Bussert, former HPCSD art teacher). They were silk-screened by hand at the Poughkeepsie Underwear Factory, at the studio of HRH Made, which is part of Hudson River Housing, a local non-profit organization which helps people who are recovering from homelessness. Every dollar earned goes towards the teacher grants and senior scholarships awarded to students and teachers in the HPCSD.

YOU CAN BUY THEM HERE, ON THE WEBSITE, NOW! GO TO “HOW TO DONATE” on the Main Page!

Eleanor’s bookcase!

A three-book event, at three historic Hyde Park venues. These were VERY successful, and raised nearly $900, which is almost the whole 2024 Senior Scholarship. THANK YOU to the National Park Service, and to all who participated! Be on the lookout for another Book Club in the Fall!

Pictures from the first “Eleanor’s Bookcase” event: the Eleanor Roosevelt Book Club, sponsored by the HPEF, had a very successful opening session. It was held at the Theater at Eleanor Roosevelt's Val-Kill Cottage, and facilitated by Dr. Greer Rychcik, Vice-President of the Hyde Park Education Foundation. We were warmly welcomed by the National Park Service, as we were allowed to use the space after regular park hours. The attendees were people from all around the area: retired teachers, current teachers and their family members, HPEF Board members, FDRHS graduates and their friends!
